Finalized courses released for L'Etape Canada by Tour de France on August 14, 2022
After months of preparation - and feedback from our athletes and major stakeholders - the finalized courses for the 2022 L'Etape Canada by Tour de France have been revealed.
Each of the events will now start and finish at Our Lady of the Prairies School in Edmonton. This spacious location will host the athlete festival, awards, and post-event activities. The short and medium course remain the same distance, the long course will now be 130km. Each route features some of the best riding that Edmonton has to offer. Our pre-event package pickup will be happening in downtown Edmonton on Saturday, August 13th from 10:00am-4:00pm at The Matrix Hotel, our host hotel for the event.
Due to both the construction in the downtown core and on the Devon Bridge (located on Hwy 60), we altered the course for safety and ride experience. We were hopeful these issues would be resolved by our event date but we have designed an amazing new route that allows for some amazing scenery and a great climb west of Edmonton.
Our biggest priority is to focus on a world class athlete experience and showcase all that Edmonton and the Tour de France experience has to offer.
